Reflextion on user testing

We did user testing on our user group and on a few people who were not gamers. We discovered that gamers understood everything when it came to navigation and other people had some troubles. Since our user group was able to understand everything we did not change the actual funcionality of the website.

After the user testing we have gathered these information:

- Can you tell me what the website is about?
All the people understood what the website was about and were able to navigate it.

- What didn't you like about the navigation experience?
A lot of them were confused about the play page, since they didn't understand the function of the blue text around the button (we took it out). 00.50min

Some of them were confused about the "get creative" sign (we decided to leave it in because we believe it gives a bit of a breathing moment for the user, before getting bombarded with information)

Navigation bar isn't aligned (we fixed that)

They wanted for the website to be more interactive and have animations (we added that)

The link that connects to the europeana website should be clickable (we made it so it indicates clicking)

- What would you like to see in the about page?

they wanted to see more information about the creators and about escape europeana itself, what was the goal(we added additional information)

- Is there something you didn't like about the aesthetics?

they really liked the aesthetics of the website. They all loved the blue color and the logo.

One of them suggested to change the artifact at the home page, so it matches the shape of the logo a bit

They wanted the dragon to stay on the page so that you can bring him back up if you needed. (We made that possible)

There should be an option to fullscreen the escape room that you are making your own (We made it possible for the sidebars to come in and out, so it gives you a feeling of full screen)
